Body image and self esteem
I rarely post full body shots and I want to take this occasion to talk about body image.
ofc I will expand on the subject on the website, in another post.
imma give it to you straight (always), i’m extremely tired of body standards.
it’s a very f*cked up concept invented by my industry.
They tell you that a size 0 is what you should be aiming for and at the same time you should be body positive..
The new trend is to have a gigantic ass with no stomach, 🤦♀️ yeah .. ok.
The thing is you cannot anticipate where you will put on weight or not. You can’t really anticipate where you will lose it either. (I’ll probably add a sport/wellness section on the website because I received a lot of questions about dieting and training).
but that’s really not the point right now. First of all I don’t know who says you have to look like... well anyone really!
To me there’s no beauty standard. This does not mean that I haven’t struggled with myself. What I’m trying to tell you is that nobody is looking at you the way you are.
When it comes to body image and especially for a woman we are our worst enemy and it doesn’t matter how many people tell you you are beautiful you will never actually hear it until you believe it yourself.
but to believe it you are going to have to let go of the perfect image you stuck in your head. Nothing in life will turn out exactly the way you expected it. You should have goals of course, but that means having a vision, not a precise plan. Why? Because if you plan everything, every little detail And some thing falls apart well your whole project will collapse. Having a vision means that you will follow through no matter what bumps you find on the road.
also please stop looking at your neighbour & comparing bodytypes. First of all you have no idea what that person is going through..you have to remember that we are all different&that’s a GOOD THING.
I will be honest with you the best cure for dysmorphophobia is to turn your damn phone off!
